New Blog!

This is my blog, where I'm going to fumble around with the controls while trying to post translations of short web novels that don't seem like their going to warrant a project on Baka-Tsuki. I'm not going to give any estimates of when I'll be done with any of my projects, since I don't have much time and what I have may vanish into oblivion at any moment. For now, I'm going to be working on Hagane no Goutou, by Hitonuki Sue. A complete katana otaku is reincarnated into a world with magic but no katanas. In this world, every person has their own unique magic that they create through a special ceremony. Since this world doesn't have katanas, the main character chooses his magic to be one that can create katanas. It's gender bender, for those of you who hate that kind of thing, but since it doesn't really have any romance (from the main character's side) in it I don't really see how that would become a problem. More of a problem is in how it is more of a prologue to a story that will likely never get written. The author said that if it's popular he may write a sequel, but that doesn't seem likely. Still, I enjoyed reading it, so I'll translate it and put it up for you to read sometime in the (hopefully) near future.
